    The following two books are a must for every birdwatcher in Jordan. Ian Andrews’ book remains up to now the best reference on the birds of Jordan, although since 1995 much new information about the distribution of birds was and is still being collected. The Collins bird guide (by Svensson et al.) is currently the most suitable identification guide for the birds of the Middle East including Jordan.
